What Was Lost
The divine monopoly. Bara was reserved exclusively for God in the Hebrew Bible -- no human ever bara'd anything. This was not wordsmithing but theology: only God can bring something from nothing. When we say humans 'create content,' we destroy the linguistic boundary between divine and human capacity that Hebrew carefully maintained.
