Law of First Mention

Where Does the Bible First Mention Messiah / Christ?

The Bible first mentions messiah / christ in 1 Samuel 2:10, from the original word mashiach (משׁיח). 'He will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed'—Hannah's prophetic song is the first mention of mashiach (anointed one), referring to a coming king. This royal anointing foreshadows Jesus as Messiah-King.

The Seed of Everything That Follows
