Law of First Mention

Where Does the Bible First Mention New Covenant?

The Bible first mentions new covenant in Jeremiah 31:31, from the original word berith chadashah (ברית חדשה). 'Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel'—Jeremiah is the only Old Testament book to explicitly mention the New Covenant. This prophecy is fulfilled through Christ's blood.

The Seed of Everything That Follows

The New Covenant writes God's law on the heart, making obedience internal, not external.
