Law of First Mention

Where Does the Bible First Mention Redemption?

The Bible first mentions redemption in Exodus 6:6, from the original word ga'al (גאל). God says, 'I will redeem you with an outstretched arm'—the first formal redemption statement. This introduces ga'al (to buy back, rescue, restore to freedom) as God's active deliverance of His enslaved people.

The Seed of Everything That Follows

Redemption is restoration to freedom and family rights through a ransom price.
