1 Samuel 28 Summary

Saul and the Medium at En-dor

The Philistines gather for war against Israel at Shunem, and Saul musters Israel at Gilboa. Afraid and unable to hear from the LORD through dreams, Urim, or prophets, Saul disguises himself and visits a medium at En-dor. She brings up Samuel's spirit, who confirms the LORD has departed from Saul and pronounces that Saul and his sons shall perish in battle tomorrow and Israel shall fall to the Philistines.
