Exodus 39 Summary

Exodus 39 records the skilled craftsmen completing all the sacred garments for Aaron and his sons exactly as the LORD had commanded Moses. The chapter details the making of the ephod with its gold, blue, purple, and scarlet threads and onyx shoulder stones engraved with the names of the twelve tribes; the breastplate set with twelve precious stones in four rows, one for each tribe, fastened to the ephod with gold chains and blue lace; the all-blue robe of the ephod adorned with alternating pomegranates and pure gold bells at its hem; the linen coats, mitre, bonnets, breeches, and girdle for Aaron and his sons; and the pure gold plate of the holy crown inscribed "HOLINESS TO THE LORD." Once every component of the tabernacle and its furnishings was finished, the children of Israel brought the entire work to Moses, who inspected it, confirmed it had been done precisely as the LORD commanded, and blessed them.
