Bible Chapter Summary
Galatians 6 Summary
Living by the Spirit and Bearing Burdens
Paul instructs believers to restore the fallen in a spirit of meekness and to bear one another's burdens, thereby fulfilling the law of Christ. He warns against self-deception and exhorts each to examine his own work. Paul emphasizes the principle of sowing and reaping: those who sow to the flesh reap corruption, but those who sow to the Spirit reap eternal life. He concludes by condemning false teachers who compel circumcision to avoid persecution, affirming that only the cross of Christ matters and that in Christ neither circumcision nor uncircumcision signifies anything, but rather becoming a new creature.
