Eden: The Garden and the First Covenant
God forms man from the dust and breathes life into him, places him in Eden, and gives the first command. Woman is formed from the man as his equal partner. The chapter establishes marriage as the fundamental human institution and introduces the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
