Bible Chapter Summary
Isaiah 21 Summary
Babylon's Fall and Regional Burdens
Isaiah receives grievous visions of destruction upon the desert lands: a watchman on a tower reports Babylon's fall and the breaking of her idols. The prophet is filled with anguish at the news. Word of coming judgment spreads to Dumah, asking the watchman about the night, and he answers that morning will come. Arabia's travelers find shelter and bread from those fleeing war, but within a year Kedar's glory and mighty men shall be diminished by the Lord.
