Bible Chapter Summary
Isaiah 30 Summary
Rebellious Children and the Path of Returning Rest
Woe to the rebellious children who take counsel but not of the Lord, seeking strength in Egypt rather than the Holy One. Their trust in Pharaoh shall be their shame and confusion. The Lord records them as a rebellious, lying people who refuse to hear His law and demand false prophecy. Yet through judgment, in returning and rest they shall be saved, and in quietness and confidence shall be their strength. The Lord waits to be gracious, and His people shall dwell in Zion, their teachers visible and their ears hearing guidance.
