Bible Chapter Summary
Mark 13 Summary
Signs of the End Times and Final Judgment
Jesus predicts the temple's complete destruction and describes the end times: many will come claiming to be Christ, wars and rumors of wars will occur, nations will rise against nations with earthquakes, famines, and troubles. Believers will be beaten and delivered to councils, but the gospel must be preached to all nations first. He warns of the abomination of desolation and commands those in Judea to flee to the mountains. After terrible tribulation, the sun and moon will darken, stars will fall, and the Son of Man will come in clouds with great power and glory to gather his elect. He teaches watchfulness since the day and hour are unknown.
