Bible Chapter Summary

Psalms 130 Summary

Crying from the Depths for Redemption

Out of the depths the psalmist cries to the LORD, asking him to hear his voice and be attentive to his supplications. If the LORD marked iniquities, no one could stand; but forgiveness is with him that he may be feared. The psalmist waits for the LORD with his soul more than watchmen wait for morning, hoping in God's word. Israel should hope in the LORD, for with him is mercy and plenteous redemption to redeem Israel from all iniquities.
