Revelation 8 Summary

Opening of the Seventh Seal and Trumpet Judgments

When the Lamb opens the seventh seal, there is silence in heaven. Seven angels receive trumpets, and another angel offers prayers of saints with incense before the throne. The angel fills the censer with altar fire and casts it to earth, bringing voices, thunder, lightning, and earthquake. The first four angels sound trumpets, bringing hail and fire, a burning mountain cast into the sea, the star Wormwood poisoning waters, and the darkening of a third of sun, moon, and stars. An angel warns of three remaining woes.
