Solomon's Song 3 Summary

Seeking the Beloved and Royal Procession

The bride seeks her beloved at night on her bed but cannot find him, so she rises and searches the city streets for him whom her soul loves. The watchmen find her and she asks if they have seen him. She then finds her beloved and brings him to her mother's house. She again charges the daughters of Jerusalem not to awake her beloved until he pleases. A magnificent procession appears from the wilderness, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with King Solomon's chariot made of Lebanon wood and adorned with silver pillars and gold base, surrounded by sixty valiant men skilled in war.
