Bible Chapter Summary

Zechariah 12 Summary

Jerusalem's Deliverance and Mourning

God declares that Jerusalem will become a trembling cup and burdensome stone to all nations besieging it, yet He will smite their horses with astonishment and blindness. The governors of Judah shall possess strength through the Lord, and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again. The Lord will defend the feeble inhabitants, making them as David, and will destroy all nations coming against the city. He pours out the spirit of grace upon David's house and the inhabitants, causing them to look upon Him whom they pierced and mourn with great sorrow, each family mourning apart.
