Bible Chapter Summary
Zechariah 8 Summary
Restoration and Future Blessings for Jerusalem
The Lord renews His promise, declaring His great jealousy for Zion and that He will return to Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be called a city of truth, and old men and women will dwell in its streets, with boys and girls playing therein. The Lord will save His people from east and west, bring them to dwell in Jerusalem, and they will be His people in truth and righteousness. He commands the people to strengthen their hands and speak truth to one another, execute judgment with truth and peace, and love no false oath.
