Bible Chapter Summary
Zephaniah 1 Summary
The Day of the LORD's Wrath
The LORD declares through Zephaniah that He will utterly consume all things from the land, destroying man, beast, fowls, and fishes. He will punish Judah and Jerusalem, cutting off idolatry and those who worship the host of heaven or swear by false gods, along with those turned back from Him. On the day of sacrifice, the LORD will punish princes, priests, and all clothed in strange apparel, filling the city with howling and crashing.
