Bible Chapter Summary
Zephaniah 3 Summary
Judgment and Restoration of Jerusalem
Jerusalem is pronounced woe for her filthiness, pollution, and oppression; she rejected correction and trusted not in the LORD. Her princes, judges, and prophets are corrupt; her priests have polluted the sanctuary and done violence to the law. The LORD will gather the nations to pour His indignation upon them, and then will turn to the people a pure language that they may serve Him. The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, and Jerusalem is called to sing and rejoice, for the LORD hath taken away her judgments and will save and dwell in her midst with joy.
