1 Chronicles 29 Summary
David's Dedication and Solomon's Anointing
David presents the congregation with the materials he has prepared for the temple: gold, silver, brass, iron, wood, and precious stones. The leaders offer willingly five thousand talents of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, and eighteen thousand talents of brass. The people rejoice and Solomon is anointed king a second time. David dies at a good old age after reigning forty years total, and Solomon succeeds him.
