Bible Chapter Summary

2 Chronicles 1 Summary

Solomon Asks for Wisdom and Knowledge

Solomon is strengthened in his kingdom and established firmly. He leads all Israel to Gibeon where the tabernacle stands, and makes a thousand burnt offerings at the brazen altar. God appears to Solomon and offers him any gift he desires. Solomon requests wisdom and knowledge to judge God's people rather than riches, wealth, or honor. God grants him wisdom and knowledge beyond measure, and also gives him riches, wealth, and honor greater than any king before or after him.
