2 Chronicles 14 Summary

King Asa's Reforms and Victory Over Ethiopia

After Abijah's death, Asa reigns and brings ten years of peace to Judah. He removes idols and high places, commands the people to seek the Lord and keep the law, and builds fortified cities. A great Ethiopian army under Zerah attacks Judah at Mareshah, but Asa cries to the Lord for help. The Lord defeats the Ethiopians before Asa, who pursues them to Gerar, spoils their cities, and returns with great riches. The fear of the Lord falls on all the surrounding kingdoms.
