Bible Chapter Summary
2 Thessalonians 1 Summary
Thanksgiving for Faith and Coming Judgment
Paul greets the Thessalonians and thanks God for their growing faith and charity despite persecution. He assures them that their sufferings are a sign of God's righteous judgment, and that God will repay those who trouble them. When Christ returns in flaming fire with mighty angels, He will bring vengeance upon those who know not God and obey not the gospel, while believers shall receive rest.
