Bible Chapter Summary

2 Thessalonians 2 Summary

Concerning the Day of Christ and the Man of Sin

Paul urges believers not to be deceived or troubled by claims that the Day of Christ is at hand. Before that day, there must come a falling away and the revelation of the man of sin who opposes God and exalts himself above all worship. Though the mystery of iniquity already works, the Lord will consume this wicked one with the spirit of His mouth at His coming. Paul teaches that salvation comes through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth, and exhorts believers to stand fast in the traditions they were taught.
