Bible Chapter Summary

2 Timothy 3 Summary

Perilous Times and Godly Perseverance

Paul warns that in the last days perilous times shall come when men shall be lovers of themselves, proud, blasphemers, and disobedient, having a form of godliness but denying its power. False teachers will creep into houses and deceive silly women, ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of truth. Paul commends Timothy for knowing his doctrine and manner of life, reminding him that all who live godly in Christ shall suffer persecution, and exhorts him to continue in the scriptures which are able to make him wise unto salvation.
