Bible Chapter Summary

Ezekiel 32 Summary

Lamentation Over Pharaoh's Fall

The Lord commands Ezekiel to compose a lamentation for Pharaoh, comparing him to a young lion and a whale in the seas. The Lord declares He will spread a net over Pharaoh, cast him upon the land, and invite the birds and beasts to devour him. His flesh will cover the mountains and his blood will fill the rivers; the heavens will darken and the nations will tremble at his destruction. The chapter catalogs other fallen powers and concludes that Pharaoh too will be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
