Bible Chapter Summary

Ezekiel 36 Summary

Restoration and Cleansing of the Land

The Lord commands Ezekiel to prophesy to Israel's mountains that after being swallowed up by the heathen and made an infamy, they shall be restored and planted with crops and people. The Lord will gather Israel from the nations, sprinkle clean water upon them, and give them a new heart and a new spirit within so they keep His statutes. The desolate land shall become like the garden of Eden with inhabited cities; the Lord will cleanse them of iniquity and increase their harvests so they no longer bear reproach among the nations.
