Bible Chapter Summary
Ezekiel 40 Summary
Vision of the Restored Temple
In the twenty-fifth year of captivity, the Lord brings Ezekiel in a vision to a very high mountain where a man with the appearance of brass and a measuring reed shows him the temple's structure. The man measures the wall, gates, and chambers with great precision, displaying the eastern gate, outer court with many chambers, and inner gates on the south and north. The man explains the temple's layout, the altar and its appurtenances, the chambers of the singers and priests, and the porch of the house with its posts and pillars.
