Bible Chapter Summary
Ezekiel 39 Summary
Defeat of Gog and Restoration
Ezekiel prophesies Gog's defeat on the mountains of Israel: the Lord will break his bow, scatter his arrows, and deliver him to the ravenous birds and beasts. Fire will be sent upon Magog and those dwelling carelessly in the isles. The corpses of Gog's army shall be so numerous that Israel will spend seven months burying them and cleansing the land. The Lord will make known His holy name among Israel and the heathen nations, and He will restore Jacob's captives, pouring out His spirit upon the house of Israel.
