Bible Chapter Summary
Genesis 8 Summary
The Receding Waters and New Beginning
The waters recede; Noah sends out a raven and dove. The dove returns with an olive leaf, then does not return, signaling dry land. Noah exits the ark and builds an altar, offering burnt offerings. God smells the pleasing aroma and resolves never again to curse the ground because of man.
