Bible Chapter Summary
Habakkuk 2 Summary
The Vision and Woes Against the Wicked
Habakkuk stands watch for God's answer and receives a vision to write plainly upon tables. God declares that the vision shall surely come and will not tarry, and that the just shall live by faith. The chapter then pronounces multiple woes against the proud and covetous man who builds his house through violence and bloodshed, trusts in graven images, and gives his neighbor strong drink. God's sovereignty is affirmed: the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of His glory, and He dwells in His holy temple.
