Bible Chapter Summary
Hebrews 3 Summary
Christ Greater Than Moses
Believers are exhorted to consider Christ Jesus as both Apostle and High Priest, who was faithful to God as Moses was faithful in God's house, yet Christ holds greater glory as the builder above his dwelling. The author quotes the Holy Ghost warning against hardening hearts like Israel in the wilderness, where the fathers tested God for forty years and were denied entry to God's rest because of unbelief. Believers must hold fast their confidence to partake of Christ and receive the promised rest.
