Bible Chapter Summary

Hosea 10 Summary

Empty Vine and the Call to Seek Righteousness

Israel is an empty vine bringing forth fruit unto himself; he hath increased his altars according to his fruit and made goodly images according to the goodness of his land. Their heart is divided and shall be found faulty; God shall break down their altars and spoil their images. Samaria's king is cut off as foam upon the water, and her high places shall be destroyed. Yet God calls Israel to sow to themselves in righteousness and reap in mercy, breaking up their fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD till He come and rain righteousness upon them.
