Hosea 13 Summary

Ephraim's Sin and God's Judgment Like a Wild Beast

When Ephraim spoke, he exalted himself, but offending in Baal brought him to death. He multiplies sin, making molten images and idols, and will vanish like morning cloud and dew. The LORD, who brought Ephraim from Egypt, becomes as a lion, leopard, and bereaved bear to tear them for forgetting Him. Though Israel has destroyed itself, help is in the LORD; He will ransom from the grave and redeem from death, yet Samaria shall become desolate, fallen by the sword.
