Bible Chapter Summary
Isaiah 23 Summary
Tyre's Destruction and Eventual Restoration
The burden against Tyre proclaims woe to the merchant city whose ships and commerce shall cease. The Lord has purposed to bring low the pride of all its honor and glory. After seventy years of desolation, Tyre shall be visited by the Lord and shall again trade. Her merchandise and hire shall become holiness to the Lord, providing food and durable clothing for those dwelling before Him.
