Bible Chapter Summary
Isaiah 24 Summary
Earth's Emptying and the Lord's Future Reign
The Lord makes the earth empty, waste, and scattered, affecting all people equally. All mankind transgresses His laws and breaks the everlasting covenant, so the earth is defiled and cursed. Wine ceases to be a joy, and the mirth of celebrations dies. Yet the earth shall reel and fall under this judgment until the Lord of hosts reigns in Mount Zion, when the sun and moon are ashamed before His glory.
