Bible Chapter Summary
Isaiah 27 Summary
The Lord Punishes Leviathan and Israel Blooms
In that day the Lord with His great sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent and the dragon in the sea. He keeps His vineyard and waters it every moment. Though He has no fury in Him, He shall punish as His judgment requires. Israel shall blossom and fill the earth with fruit. Jacob's iniquity is purged when the altar stones are beaten down and groves removed. From the river to Egypt, the Lord gathers Israel to worship Him on the holy mount.
