Bible Chapter Summary
Isaiah 28 Summary
Woe to Ephraim's Pride and the Sure Foundation Stone
Woe to the crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim whose beauty is a fading flower. The Lord has a mighty one who shall cast them down as a tempest casts down hail. Priests and prophets have erred through strong drink. Yet to those who hear the Lord speaks with stammering lips, offering rest. He lays in Zion a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation. He will sweep away the refuge of lies with hail and overflow the hiding place.
