Bible Chapter Summary
Isaiah 56 Summary
Keeping Justice and Welcoming Strangers
The LORD commands His people to keep judgment and do justice as His salvation draws near, and blesses those who keep the sabbath and do no evil. Foreigners and eunuchs who keep the LORD's sabbaths and hold to His covenant shall receive a place and everlasting name in His house, and the LORD will bring them to His holy mountain and make His house a house of prayer for all people. Yet the blind watchmen and greedy shepherds who slumber are condemned as they pursue their own gain.
