Bible Chapter Summary
Isaiah 57 Summary
The Wicked Without Peace
The righteous perish while no one takes it to heart, taken away from evil to come, yet the wicked pursue idolatry, sorcery, and wickedness despite the prophet's declaration of their righteousness and works. Their trusted refuges and idols cannot deliver them, and their companies scatter like wind. The LORD promises that those who trust in Him shall possess the land and inherit His holy mountain; yet the wicked are like the troubled sea that cannot rest, and the LORD says there is no peace for the wicked.
