Bible Chapter Summary
Jeremiah 15 Summary
Four Kinds of Judgment and the Faithless Prophet
God tells Jeremiah that even intercession by Moses and Samuel could not turn His mind from casting out this people. Four kinds shall be appointed: the sword to slay, dogs to tear, fowls and beasts to devour and destroy. Because of Manasseh's sins in Jerusalem, they will be removed to all kingdoms. A woman who bore seven sons languishes and dies; their remnant is delivered to the sword. Jeremiah laments his role as a man of strife, but God promises that his remnant shall be well, and He will cause enemies to entreat him kindly in evil and affliction. God promises to make Jeremiah a fortified brass wall, but the wicked will not prevail against him.
