Bible Chapter Summary
Joel 3 Summary
Judgment of Nations and Deliverance of Judah
In those days when God restores the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, He will gather all nations and judge them in the valley of Jehoshaphat for scattering Israel, parting God's land, casting lots for God's people, and selling them into slavery to distant nations. God declares He will reverse this judgment upon the nations, raising Israel from captivity and selling their sons and daughters into the hands of Judah. The heathen are called to prepare for war as a metaphor of their coming judgment; God will reap them as a ripe harvest in the valley of decision where His voice will roar from Zion and shake the earth, securing eternal deliverance and abundance for Judah and Jerusalem.
