John 20 Summary
The Resurrection: Mary Thomas and the Mission
Mary Magdalene finds the empty tomb and weeps. The risen Jesus calls her name; she recognizes him: Rabboni. That evening Jesus appears to the disciples, shows his hands and side, and breathes the Spirit on them. Thomas doubts, then confesses: my Lord and my God when he sees the wounds. John states his purpose: that you may believe.
