Bible Chapter Summary

Luke 22 Summary

The Passover, the New Covenant, and Betrayal

As the Passover feast approaches, Satan enters Judas to betray Jesus for money. Jesus sends disciples to prepare the Passover meal and institutes the new covenant, taking bread and cup and saying he will not eat or drink again until the kingdom of God comes. He warns of his betrayer and teaches the disciples that greatness comes through service, not lordship. After praying at Gethsemane that the Father's will be done, Jesus is arrested; Peter denies knowing him three times.
