Bible Chapter Summary

Mark 4 Summary

Parables of the Kingdom

Jesus teaches in parables: the sower, the soil, the lamp on the stand, the growing seed, the mustard seed. He explains privately to the disciples the secret of the kingdom of God. He stills the storm from sleep on the boat: peace be still. The disciples marvel: even the wind and waves obey him.
