Bible Chapter Summary
Mark 3 Summary
Healing the Withered Hand and Choosing Twelve
Jesus enters a synagogue where a man with a withered hand is watched by Pharisees seeking to accuse him. Jesus heals the man on the sabbath and is met with anger from the Pharisees, who plot with the Herodians to destroy him. Jesus withdraws to the sea with his disciples, and great multitudes follow from many regions, pressing upon him for healing. He ordains twelve apostles to be with him and to preach and cast out devils, and later teaches that all sins shall be forgiven save the sin of blaspheming the Holy Ghost, warning that those who do so are in danger of eternal damnation.
