Matthew 22 Summary

The Marriage Feast and Challenging Questions

Jesus teaches the parable of a king's marriage for his son: servants invite guests, but they refuse and mistreat the messengers; the king destroys them and extends invitations to all found in highways. A man without a wedding garment is cast into outer darkness. Pharisees attempt to entangle Jesus with trick questions about tribute to Caesar and resurrection; Jesus answers wisely and asks them about Christ's lineage. A lawyer asks about the greatest commandment, and Jesus teaches love of God and neighbor.
