Bible Chapter Summary

Nahum 3 Summary

Woe to the Bloody City of Nineveh

Woe is pronounced upon Nineveh, the bloody city full of lies, robbery, and endless prey. Her streets are filled with the noise of chariots, horsemen with glittering weapons, and multitudes of slain. The LORD condemns her for her whoredoms and witchcrafts, declaring He will cast filth upon her, expose her nakedness to nations, and make her a desolation. Her strong holds shall fall like figs, her gates opened to enemies, and the fire shall consume her; like No before her, she shall drink the cup of desolation, and all who hear of her fate shall clap their hands in marvel at her ruin.
