Bible Chapter Summary
Proverbs 10 Summary
The Proverbs of Solomon: Righteousness and Folly
A wise son brings gladness to his father while a foolish son brings heaviness to his mother; treasures of wickedness profit nothing but righteousness delivers from death. The diligent hand makes rich while slack hands lead to poverty, and the wise son gathers in summer while the sluggard sleeps through harvest in shame. Blessing rests on the just while violence covers the mouth of the wicked, a righteous man's mouth is a well of life, and in the lips of him that has understanding wisdom is found. The fear of the LORD prolongs days while the years of the wicked are shortened, and the righteous shall never be removed but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
