Bible Chapter Summary
Psalms 115 Summary
The True God and the Vanity of Idols
The psalmist appeals to the Lord to reveal His glory and prove Himself true to the watching heathen. While the God of Israel is in the heavens and does whatever He pleases, idols made by human hands are lifeless and powerless, and those who make or trust them become like them. The psalmist calls Israel to trust in the Lord as their help and shield, assuring them that the Lord remembers and blesses them.
