Psalm 132 Summary
David's Oath and the Eternal Throne
The psalmist recalls David's afflictions and his vow to the Lord to find a dwelling place for Him. The psalm traces Israel's discovery of the ark at Ephratah and the establishment of worship. It celebrates God's oath to David that his offspring shall sit upon his throne forever, provided they keep God's covenant, and proclaims God's choice of Zion as His eternal dwelling place.
